IGNOU should do some changes in MCA 6th Semester Project proposal and Report submission dates. If a student in its 5th semester of MCA, he/she has to prepare for six theory subjects + two practical subjects (which is the maximum no. of subjects in MCA) and they have to prepare & submit their assignments of all these subjects and also they have to prepare for their 4th semester's Mini Project viva in 5th semester. Besides this students have to prepare for Project Proposal for MCA 6th semester in their 5th semester only and they hardly get four months time to do all these activities.
So due to so many things in MCA 5th semester, they are not in a state to concentrate on their 6th Semester Project Proposal rigorously and if synopsis get not approved then they have to wait for another six months even there is small mistakes in synopsis & its almost take a year for appearing in 6th sem Project Viva.
SOCIS, (IGNOU) please look into this matter seriously and adjust some suitable timing for submission of Project Proposal (you can extend the project proposal submission date for one more month after TEE) and if there is any suggestion and comments from the Project Evaluator on project proposal and if project proposal is got not approved, students should give a chance to modify it and again resubmit it within a stipulated time, instead of giving it next slot so they don’t need to wait for another six months.
I completely agree with this, I also request to IGNOU to change the policies. IGNOU has the hardest rules and regulation as comapre to other universities. Even sometimes these are more strict as compare to regular universities.IGNOU must take care of all these issues.
